Our Past
Our company is named after Kanaka Creek, where I spent many summers as a child “treasure hunting.” My career in fine jewellery began with a four-year apprenticeship and a two-year Jewellery Art & Design program in Vancouver.
Rob and I opened our first location in the Lower Mainland, but after eight years, we decided to move our family to Vancouver Island and settled in Victoria. After several years of working from a home studio, we are very happy to open our new location in Estevan Village.

Nestled in the picturesque Estevan Village in Oak Bay, just a brief stroll from the ocean, you will find Kanaka Fine Jewellers.
In a relaxed atmosphere where creativity, form, and function meld, we truly embody a goldsmith’s studio. We design, create, repair, and refurbish fine gold jewellery.
